Information in English about our exhibition!
“Livet, hivet och vi-et” is an exhibition about community. Positiva Gruppen Väst is a meeting place and in addition to peer support as something community-creating, we have worked with collective processes and community-based storytelling for a long time. For us, community is central and we want to show all these relational aspects as a counter image to those who automatically link HIV to loneliness.
The exhibition is based on the project Reconnection where we worked with dance, movement and text. Through workshops explored closeness and distance in different ways. Much of what happens during the process becomes the experience of those who participated and the value of co-creation stays there. But there are also parts we have taken with us that we want to show the world.
Part of the exhibition consists of a series of portraits of the duo portraits taken by the photographer Maja Kristin Nylander. The photos were taken in close dialogue with the people being portrayed. Another part is a collectively created text called We are a movement. It is shown as it is in text, but it has also become a co-created digital story, with several voices reading in parts of the text pictured with clips from a dance workshop.
In connection with Kulturnatta, we had a window exhibition that was shown Platsen October 29 to November 7. From December 1, World Aids Day, the exhibition will be shown at the culture house Blå Stället.
